Services
Lady Katharine offers five service tiers, each designed for a specific kind of couple and a specific kind of need. All are bespoke, all are quiet, and all begin with a conversation.
Choosing your service
Some couples come to Lady Katharine before they have made a single booking. Others arrive with a venue confirmed, suppliers shortlisted, and a clear sense of the day they want — they simply need someone to take the management off their hands. Others still have done everything and just want a calm, experienced presence on the day itself.
There is no one right answer. The service tier that suits you depends on how much of the planning you want to own, how much time you have, and how complex the logistics of your particular day are. If you are unsure, an initial conversation will usually clarify it quickly.
Service tiers
The most comprehensive service. Lady Katharine becomes your lead planner from the moment you make an enquiry — setting the vision, establishing and tracking the budget, researching and recommending venues, building the entire supplier team, reviewing all contracts, managing communication, overseeing design decisions, and coordinating everything on the day and any events around it.
Full planning is suited to couples who want to be involved in all decisions but not in the mechanics that make those decisions possible. It is also the natural choice for any wedding with significant complexity: large guest counts, private-hire venues with no in-house catering, marquee events, multi-day celebrations, or weddings that involve bringing together families and guests from several different countries.
For couples who have made a start (perhaps the venue is booked and the key suppliers are in mind) but who need an experienced hand to complete the picture, check what they have agreed, fill the gaps, and take the load off as the day approaches. Partial planning typically begins four to six months before the wedding.
Lady Katharine reviews everything already in place, identifies what still needs to be secured, and handles the remaining logistics. If any supplier arrangements need to be clarified or renegotiated, that is done carefully. The result is a complete, coherent plan rather than a collection of bookings that have never been properly cross-referenced.
You have done all the planning. The suppliers are booked, the details are decided, and you know the day you want. What you need is someone to make sure it actually happens — someone who can receive deliveries, manage the schedule, handle the unexpected, and make sure every supplier delivers what was agreed without you having to think about any of it.
On-the-day coordination typically begins four weeks before the wedding, with a full handover of all existing plans, a venue walkthrough, and direct contact with every supplier. By the time the day arrives, Lady Katharine knows the plan as well as you do.
The look and feel of a wedding. The palette, the mood of the lighting, the relationship between the florals and the table settings, the weight of the stationery, the dressing of the ceremony space. These are not afterthoughts. They are the things guests remember and the things that make a wedding feel like itself rather than like a generic occasion.
Design and styling can be commissioned as a standalone service or combined with any planning tier. Lady Katharine works closely with your chosen florist and suppliers, or can bring in trusted collaborators where needed. The output is a clear design brief that every supplier can work from, producing a day that looks considered from every angle.
Some weddings require a qualitatively different level of planning. A marquee event on a private estate involves building a venue from scratch (power, water, flooring, catering infrastructure, lighting, heating, sanitation) on top of all the usual supplier chain. A destination wedding involves managing logistics across jurisdictions, language barriers, and local legal requirements, often for guests travelling from multiple countries.
Lady Katharine has experience with both. These events require full planning involvement from very early on, usually twelve months or more before the date. If this is the kind of wedding you are imagining, get in touch early — not because there is any panic, but because lead time is the single most useful resource in making it go smoothly.
Regardless of tier, every engagement with Lady Katharine has the same underlying qualities: a small number of active clients at any given time, direct access throughout the planning process, and absolute discretion. You will not be handed off to a junior coordinator. You will not be one name in a very long list.
Fees are discussed at the initial consultation. There are no hidden charges and no ambiguity about what is included. If something falls outside the agreed scope, that conversation happens openly, in advance.
The earlier the better, as a general principle, though Lady Katharine has taken on weddings at short notice when the circumstances allowed. For full planning, twelve to eighteen months is a comfortable lead time for most UK weddings. For marquee events or destination weddings, longer is advisable. On-the-day coordination can often be arranged with as little as eight weeks of lead time.
If you are not sure where to start, do not wait for certainty. An initial conversation does not commit you to anything. It simply gives you a clearer picture of what is realistic and what the options are.

A brief conversation is usually all it takes. Tell Lady Katharine where you are in the planning process and what your wedding looks like, and a clear recommendation will follow.
